Call Zebra’s U&I network announced today that vehicle body repairer, D Gawthrope ARC Ltd has joined the U&I scheme.

First established in 1997, the firm currently employs 7 people all working out of an 8,000 sq ft site, and specialises in both private and commercial vehicles.

The Wakefield-based bodyshop will now be able to offer its customers a number of new features including a 24-hour accident helpline, car hire and access to legal services.

Owner Dean Gawthrope reveals: “The U&I scheme is clearly the way to go forward with the industry at the moment, by offering us smaller firms the clout to take on much bigger national operators. It is a very good scheme that will benefit everyone.

“In these hard times you have to look forward and think about the future and thanks to Call Zebra together we are now able to offer a far better service than the nationals themselves.”

Darren Gilling, managing director of north-west firm Call Zebra, which created the U&I network, added: “It is with great pleasure to announce D Gawthrope ARC Ltd to the U&I scheme. Together with our other network partners, we are changing the face of accident repair services across the UK, and enabling independent firms to take on the national companies.”

U&I is a sustainable scheme which enables bodyshops to deliver a swifter, more comprehensive range of accident repair services, without the bulk of the associated overheads and streams of administration.
