Huddersfield-born brothers and business partners Andrew and Peter Stringer have revealed plans to open a third automotive business in the New Year.

The duo behind car body repair shop Premier Coachworks Ltd and automatic gearbox specialists Automatic Transmissions Ltd, are to launch an automatic car sales centre in early 2010.

The second-hand car sales company will be located alongside their existing two businesses in Blackmoorfoot Road, Crosland Moor, Huddersfield, creating a specialist centre for sales, repair, parts and ad-on features. The brothers have teamed up with local car sales specialist Christian Twigg to launch the new business, which will be called The Automatic Car Specialist Ltd.

Christian will be a director of The Automatic Car Specialist Ltd and continue to run his existing used car business, Longwood Motor Company Ltd, based in nearby Longwood.

It is one of a number of exciting new developments taking place across the businesses.

Premier Coachworks Ltd, established in 1977 and led by Peter Stringer, has just unveiled a 24-hour emergency vehicle damage helpline and national recovery service to help customers wherever they may be across the UK mainland in the event of an accident. It comes just weeks after the company launched a range of vehicle security services, smart repairs and parking sensor features.

Managing director Andrew Stringer said: “We will be officially launching the second-hand low mileage automatic car sales centre in early 2010, starting with around a dozen vehicles and building up. This is a very exciting time for us as we look to expand the businesses and really position Blackmoorfoot Road as a specialist centre for high quality vehicle repairs and automatic car services. Our automatic gearbox services already attract customers from across the county so we expect the car sales centre to be a very popular addition to the business.”

Director Peter Stringer added: “The business is stepping into a new era and we hope 2010 will be our best year yet. Christian has a wealth of experience in the car sales market and we’re delighted to welcome him on board with our latest business venture.”

Premier Coachworks Ltd has teamed with UK accident management company Call Zebra to offer customers 24-hour rapid national accident assistance.

Darren Gilling, managing director of Call Zebra, said: “Andrew and Peter are constantly raising the bar in terms of the facilities and services they offer to their customers, and we are delighted to be working with them on a national level to assist their customers should they have an accident further away from home. Their customers are getting the best of both worlds – a personalised local service, with the added extra of anytime, anywhere national assistance in the event of an emergency.”
